Introductions

I am currently a personal tutor within schools in the South Yorkshire region, working with a broad range of students, preparing them for their exams, and boosting their knowledge and confidence. I have taught all three sciences at KS3 and KS4, and have a variety of different textbooks available based on ability (foundation or higher).

Alongside this I also tutor A-Level Biology to sixth form students and college students, and also extended my learning to adults wishing to do certain qualifications in Biology.

I have been tutoring for just over two years, with three years worth of teaching experience in total. My students have made excellent progress and received their target grades or better, and thoroughly enjoyed our tutorials together.

I have a tailored approach to each student’s needs, weaknesses and strengths and work towards targets and achievable goals. I like to pre-plan all lessons with self-learning material, taught material, questions, exam-style questions and application of knowledge questions. I also like to set additional (optional) tasks which can be done to after tutor sessions to secure knowledge. If students wish to receive any additional support outside of the tutoring session, I offer email support for no additional cost.
